All potential users of the cashless system must save the Wallet app and register for their own future convenience. There is no monthly costs to use the Wallet app.
The Mobile Wallet app will enable you to:
Order from the participating online merchants
Pay at any participating merchant
Buy tickets for events and functions
Buy airtime
Make other payments
Send money to a friend for free
Enter the Wallet URL (https://vtickets.co.za) in your browser and select “Register”. Enter your name, surname and mobile number in the space provided.
Choose a 5-digit PIN (ex 56789). Tick the accept Terms and Privacy tick box after reading the Terms and Privacy Policy.
Enter the OTP received by SMS and click “Activate” or click on the link in the SMS and then click “Activate”.
This process verifies your mobile number. If no SMS is received within a few minutes, kindly re-register and make sure your Mobile Number is entered correctly.
For future convenience save the Wallet URL (web address) to your Home Screen.
Type the Wallet app URL in your browser and click the share icon. You will find it next to your browser window on the right or on the bottom taskbar.
Select the “Save to Home Screen” option to save the link. Your Wallet icon will appear on your Home Screen just like a normal App.
Select the “Reset PIN?” option on the Login Screen and enter your Mobile Number. Enter the OTP that you will receive by SMS and update your PIN.
You are able to freely transfer credit with the “Send to other user Wallet” to any other Wallet.
To pay money into your Wallet click on the “Wallets” menu option and select “Top-up Wallet” and choose one of the available options.
EFT Payments take the same time to reflect in your Wallet as any other normal bank transfer. Instant payments and EFT transfers from ABSA will reflect within 15 minutes and normal transfers from other banks may take up to 48 hrs to reflect.
When selecting “Free Bank Transfer” MAKE SURE that the complete and correct reference number as provided in your App is accurately captured as the BENEFICIARY REFERENCE required by your Bank.
OZOW Instant Top-up reflect INSTANTLY in your Wallet. You are also able to send a OZOW payment link to a friend or parent for them to pay money into your Wallet.
Credit/Debit Card Top-up reflect INSTANTLY in your Wallet. You are also able to send a Credit/Debit Card payment link to a friend or parent for them to pay money into your Wallet.
Bank deposit charges may be levied for CASH deposits. Some event-organisers may provide the opportunity to Top-up cash to your Wallet on arrival at the event.
Click on the “My Profile” icon that appears in the top right corner of your screen. Complete your profile information for an improved user experience.
To send money to a friend choose the “Wallets” menu option. Go to “Send to other user Wallet”.
MAKE SURE that you enter the CORRECT mobile number as this transaction cannot be reversed. The money will reflect in the receivers Wallet instantly. There is no cost for a “Send to other user Wallet” transaction.
Make sure you have adequately topped up your Wallet for the purchase.
To buy Tickets choose the “Buy Tickets” option in the Tickets menu. Select the Event and follow the process to complete your purchase. You will find your purchased Tickets in the “My Tickets” menu.
Select “My Tickets” to view or present your Tickets for scanning.
Select “Send Tickets” and choose the Ticket you wish to send. Enter the destination mobile number of a registered person and send. Please make sure that the mobile number is registered and captured accurately. The Ticket will reflect in the receivers App in the “My Tickets” menu instantly.
Use the “Scan to Pay” or “Code to Pay” function in the main menu.
SCAN TO PAY: a QR code will be presented by the tuck shop or merchant for you to scan. Your payment to the merchant will reflect instantly.
CODE TO PAY: a payment code will be provided by the tuck shop or merchant for you to enter on the “Code to Pay” screen in your App. Your payment to the merchant will reflect instantly.
Certain handsets and browsers disallow the “Scan to Pay” function to work effectively. In that event kindly make use of the “Code to Pay” function for your convenience. Kindly contact the WhatsApp Helpline from your Wallet App for assistance.
To comply with regulatory requirements, general Wallet payments to bank accounts are not allowed. The “Pay to Bank Account” function is only available to temporary Wallets created for certain events and other exceptional circumstances.
Only when available, select the “Banking” option in the menu. Go to “Add Bank Account” and capture your banking details. Make sure that your bank account number is captured ACCURATELY!
Now choose the “Pay to Bank Account” option and complete the required information.
Please note that payments to any bank account may take up to 48hrs to reflect at a nominal cost. Instant payments may be available at an additional cost.
Select the “Wallets” option in the menu. Go to “Transaction History” to see details of your last 100 transactions.
To buy Airtime, select the “Shop Now” or “Buy Cashless” menu and go the “Airtime” option. Enter the required information to purchase airtime for your own number or for any other number.
Select the “Wallets” menu option and go to “View Wallets”. A list of your Wallets with available balances will be displayed. You are also able to click on the Wallet to see the transaction history.
If you have a Cash Card or armband issued at an event, payments may be made by using the last 5 digits of the card or armband number. Your Card is directly linked to your Wallet and payments with your Card will transfer money instantly from your Wallet to the merchant.
Select the “Help” option on the selection bar at the bottom of your App. This option will direct you automatically to the WhatsApp helpline.
